We, ALREADY, Share Sales Taxes with Small Counties, NOW they want to Share Property Taxes, TOO.

Nevada has Budget Problems, BIG-TIME, due to BUSH, the War-Starter,  and his Policies.  His past and proposed tax cuts impact the States, in  several terrible ways.

Indian gambling and the national spread of gambling, along with drop off in air travel, really are crushing this State of Nevada.
Just as the airlines are being bailed out, by Congress, with a $3.5 billion loan, tourist-oriented states need help, also.

So now, Nevada is trying another attack on its more popular counties, to solve a permanent problem with a legislative patch. 

Years ago, the Legislature, dominated by the North Counties, with larger cities, like Reno, Carson City, and Elko, passed a law, which required the population-heavy  counties to share sales tax revenues, which support schools and other county services, and  to send part of their sales tax to the low-population counties.   This corrupt taxation policy has "brought the chickens home to roost", finally, as all acts that are illogical will eventually and inevitably do.

Confucius said it 2500 years ago.  "Anything opposed to Harmony, has no future." 
You can substitute the word, "Logic", for the word "Harmony", as they are synonymous.

The highly variable sales tax is tourist dependent and should never have been changed to support schools, which was done to relieve the large property owners, (read CASINOS), from their fair share of State Taxes.

Now, the sales tax drop-off is leading the same corrupt legislators to propose that the same sharing method be applied to the City and County Property Taxes.

Illogical and unfair governmental policies will eventually and inevitably rebound and crash.
